What is the Neurospicy Art Group?
The Neurospicy Art Group is a fortnightly peer-support art group specifically for people over 35 who identify as neurodivergent - ADHD, Autism, etc (no formal diagnosis needed). The facilitator and any support people are always neurodivergent!
Format
Participants are encouraged to bring the art projects they are currently working on. If you don't have any special projects on the go, you can try out one of the activities that has been prepared by the facilitator. There is usually an activity set up for drawing, print making or painting of some type.

The group is peer-led, and there is no "teaching" done, it is more a relaxed and low pressure way to practice your art and to foster community.

This is not a registered art therapy group, and no therapy is provided.
Sensory and participation
The art group will be held in North Canberra in a lovely purpose-built art space, with natural light (no artificial lighting).
Participation is low-pressure and signalled. We use stickers with names and a little green, orange or red indicator to let people know your preferred level of engagement during the session. Attendance is participation. There's no pressure to engage.

Coffee, tea and water will be supplied.
